DESCRIPTION:The UofL Center for Integrative Environmental Health Sciences (
CIEHS) and Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology invite you to the next
EHS seminar with Dr. Kelly G. Pennell titled “Identifying and Mitigati
ng Chemical Exposure Pathways at the Subsurface–Building Interface." Thi
s seminar will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11 a.m. ET. Once
you have filled out this information, you will receive the MS teams link t
o join the seminar via email. Please respond by Wednesday, March 11. Thank

of Sustainability and Environment in the Department of Civil Engineering
at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Pennell is internationally recognized f
or her research involving stakeholder engagement, modeling fate and transp
ort processes, and redefining chemical exposure conceptual models in commu
nities. She is a leading expert in vapor intrusion processes, which involv
e the migration of subsurface vapors into indoor air spaces. Her research
has fostered informed decision-making in many communities across the US an
d influenced policy framework changes at multiple jurisdiction levels. In
