DESCRIPTION:UofL CME Seminar Focuses on Insurance Coverage and Patient Advo
 cacy (Virtual Grand Rounds)\n\nThe Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral
  Sciences is hosting a accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) live 
 activity aimed at psychiatric physicians, residents, medical students, and
  healthcare professionals. The session equips clinicians with practical st
 rategies to advocate for patient care and navigate insurance coverage hurd
 les.\n\nKey Learning Objectives:\n\n\n	\n	Letters of Medical Necessity: Un
 derstanding essential components—including clinician competence, clinica
 l evaluations, and risk assessments—and knowing when to use them.\n	\n	\
 n	Peer-to-Peer Reviews: Applying structured agendas and talking points dur
 ing insurer discussions to align on appropriate coverage for patient treat
 ment plans.\n	\n	\n	Patient Access & Advocacy: Utilizing tools such as for
 mal insurance complaints, obtaining complete insurance files, and leveragi
 ng constituent services to support self-advocacy.\n	\n\n\nCME & Event Deta
