 nThrough this intensive, hands-on certificate program, you will walk away 
 with the knowledge and skills of how to develop a competitive grant propos
 al.\n\nOver three days you will draft all sections of a grant proposal, in
 cluding a needs statement, goal/case statement, objectives, project descri
 ption, logic model, program evaluation, budget and budget justification. Y
 ou will also learn tools and techniques that will set your grant proposal 
 apart.\n\nThis program is ideal for the beginner or intermediate grants pr
 ofessional working in education or a grant-ready nonprofit organization. T
 he program will help grant-seeking become less intimidating.\n\nAfter this
  three-day workshop you will walk away with:\n\n\n	The basic elements of a
  competitive grant application already developed\n	The best style of writi
 ng for grant proposals\n	An understanding of how successful organizations 
 pre-plan for grants\n	Tips for finding grant opportunities\n	Next steps if
  a grant is not funded\n\n\nTaught by experience grant writer and manager
 , Rebecca Crump who has more than 20 years working with all phases of gran
 t development including proposal reviews. Currently as Director of Resourc
 e Development for the Jefferson County Schools (JCPS), Ms. Crump develops 
 and oversees grant development for the district. JCPS is the 28th largest 
 district in the nation with more than 100,000 students. In her position, s
 he has primary responsibility for directing the ongoing search for externa
 l funding opportunities from federal, state, private and corporate sources
 . Since she joined JCPS in 2008, she has written more than 10 successful g
 rants funded for more than $600,000. She has conducted numerous grant writ
 ing workshops over the last 10 years.
