Roundtable 1 of the Liberal Studies symposium "History, Memory, and America at 250"
This roundtable brings together UofL faculty from various disciplines whose work explores questions of US history and public memory. The participants will speak about a particular year in US history that is critical within their own area of study but may be overlooked in the general historiography or public memory. This conversation will connect specific historical moments to broader questions of public memory and the politics of writing US history.
